The Buster Sanders Scholarship Fund (BSSF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The organization was created to provide educational scholarships to eligible recipents in the rural Russell County, Alabama area.
BSSF is the educational program of the Buster Sanders Annual Fish Fry, which began as a family gathering on Labor Day in 1989.
Giving is in our blood!
The Buster Sanders Scholarship Fund (BSSF) awards scholarships to college-bound high school seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, and an express interest in pursuing a higher education degree.
BSSF was organized exclusively for but not limited to providing financial assistance to needy and deserving youth in rural Russell County, AL seeking higher education. The organization seeks and conducts activities and functions that support maintaining our primary goal.
